Name

Writing Name was probably the most natural thing I’ve ever written. Working with my friend Ryan Park, we spent many late nights communicating and discussing our ideas for the script. Having been inspired by “I Saw the TV Glow,” I wanted to show a man isolated by his ambition. As someone who can often find himself consumed by work, I can’t act like the main character isn’t a bit of a self-insert. However, instead of going the normal loser route, our lead is a scientist who can’t let the possibility of alien life get away from him. Which, in the end, leads to his downfall. It can also double as a stranger danger PSA.
